How We Work

How an engagement runs from the first call to shipped work: the check-in cadence, what stays yours, and what happens when it is not working.

01

How an Engagement Runs

Every engagement runs to the same marks, from the first call through the check-ins after work starts.

Fig 01 · The first month Select a mark
Day 0 · You and a delivery lead

The first call

Twenty minutes. You describe the situation and we say plainly whether we can help, and how.

48 hours · Your side and our recruiters

Shortlist or plan

For people, senior candidates who have already cleared our technical bar. For a build, a delivery plan with the lead named on it.

Week 2 · Your team and the engineers

Work starts

Engineers are in your tools and your standups, or the build kicks off under the delivery lead.

+1 day · One day after work starts

First check-in

The delivery lead checks that access, tooling and the first tickets are all working, before a day is lost to setup.

+1 week · One week after work starts

Week-one check-in

We check that the work landing matches what you expected, and change the setup if it does not.

+1 month · One month after work starts

Month-one review

A review of the engagement end to end. The 30-day replacement guarantee runs to this point: if someone is not right, we replace them at no cost.

02

What You Own, What We Own

Code, Data and Access

Your code stays in your repositories, under your access controls, unless we agree otherwise. Engineers work on managed devices with ISO 27001 practices embedded. As a firm we are aligned to ISO 27001 with certification in its final audit, and we meet SOC 2 Type 2 requirements with the audit pending.

04

When It Goes Wrong

The engineer is not right.
Tell the delivery lead. Replacement is guaranteed inside 30 days, at no cost, and it is not negotiated.
The work needs to shrink.
Engagements scale down as readily as they scale up.
It has gone wrong with an offshore provider before.
That is the most common history clients bring, and the reason the model exists: hiring is our craft, leadership is local, and we have run it since 2015.
