The AI Journey
The AI Journey is Adaca's name for the three stages a business moves through to put AI to work: Crawl, Walk and Run, taken in order, each with exit criteria so moving to the next is a decision rather than a drift.
In Detail
Crawl: build the foundations. AI training across your teams, an enterprise licence with your chosen provider, and the policies that govern use. The exit criterion is that sanctioned use exists and staff know what it is.
Walk: govern the risk. Initiatives and risks registered, controls scored, and a dated record that survives staff changes and audits. The exit criterion is a register that an auditor could read.
Run: build the agents. Agents built with your team against the processes with the clearest return, measured against real work before they go live. The exit criterion is an agent in production with its gains measured.
Why the order matters. Pilots that start wherever there is enthusiasm stall before production because nothing governs them and no one has agreed what success looks like. The order puts the sanctioned tools and the record in place first, so the agents land on something.
Where a business starts. The AI Diagnostic places each department on the map and names the single next move, so a department that already has training and policy in place does not repeat them.
Common Questions
Do we have to start at Crawl?
No. Each department starts where it is.
How long does each stage take?
It depends on the department; the Diagnostic costs the next move for each one.
Who decides when a stage is done?
You do, against the exit criteria written at the start.
